James Madison Primary Elementary enrolls students in grades K-2, while James Madison Intermediate Elementary includes grades 3-5. There are 11 elementary schools in the district: Benjamin Franklin Elementary, James Monroe Elementary, John Marshall Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Lindeneau Elementary, Martin Luther King Elementary, Menlo Park Elementary, Washington Elementary, and Woodbrook Elementary offer grades K-5. Many of the district's youngest students-about 220 of them in total-attend either the Edison Early Learning Center or FDR Preschool. The district's boundaries follow the township's boundaries.
No registration is required for the Back-to-School Readiness Fair, but all supplies and services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.Edison Township School District serves about 16,500 students in grades pre-K through 12. Additionally, attendees can receive assistance with FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), tax preparation, and other services. The fair highlights the University’s commitment to the Trenton community, offering various free resources and information, such as lead-free homes, maternal and mental health, wellness services, health insurance eligibility review, and after-school programs. Many organizations, including Isles, Inc., Central Jersey Family Health Consortium, United Way of Greater Mercer County, NJ Family Care, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County, Hyacinth, Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County, and the New Jersey State Library will be in attendance. Scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m., the event will feature the distribution of backpacks, school supplies, and food bags. Thomas Edison State University and Mercer Street Friends will be co-hosting the Second Annual Back-to-School Readiness Fair on Saturday, August 4, at 315 W.
